My passion is writing about transforming shyness.  Since 1997, I have been authoring the Shy and Free web site which documents the truth I discovered in my journey to understand shyness.

Shyness is important because shy people tend to be seekers of the truth; people of high integrity; thinkers; healers; and advisors.  Shy people also tend to be compassionate and fair because they have the ability to put themselves in someone else's shoes (a trait which surprisingly 42 percent of the population does not have according to research done by Elaine Aron in “The Highly Sensitive Person”.)

Imagine the good the can be done in the world by getting the millions of people who are shy more involved  (roughly 18 percent of the population considers themselves to be shy.)

As for me, I am a computer programmer/analyst living in Northern California.  I'm married and have a wonderful 6 year old girl.
